About

Built by a researcher who kept losing the thread

CurTask began with a familiar problem: a reference manager, a spreadsheet matrix and a word processor that each held part of the same literature review, and never quite agreed with one another.

The question behind it wasn't "what should a reference manager do?" but "why do I have to tell three programs the same thing about the same paper?"

It is made in Malaysia, for the way research is done here: sources in English and Malay, scanned PDFs, connections that come and go, and budgets that don't stretch to three licences.

What we commit to

  • The researcher is the author

The AI proposes; you accept, edit or reject. Suggested text stays marked until you take it.

  • Every claim traceable

No AI value appears without the page and quote it came from. If we can't show the source, we say "No source found".

  • Your work is not training data

Not ours, not anyone else's. Your papers, notes and writing are used only to give you the service.

  • Your data stays in Malaysia

Our servers and backups are in Malaysia. Where anything leaves the country, the privacy policy says what and why.
