End-User Agreement
Last updated: 11 October 2026 (version 2026-10-11)
In short
- To use CurTask, you need to agree to this agreement. If you don't agree, you can sign out.
- To do the AI tasks you ask for, CurTask may use AI service providers of its choice, including providers whose servers are outside Malaysia.
- Those providers may keep data and logs under their own policies. We only use providers that never train AI models on your data.
- Every AI provider is named on our public list of AI providers, with its country, what it keeps and whether it trains (always "No"). We email you before that list changes.
- Your papers, notes, codes, writing and AI results are stored on our servers in Malaysia.
This box is a summary. The sections below are what bind us.
1. What this agreement is
This End-User Agreement is between you and HackEduTech Labs (202303169641 / LA0059120-V) ("we", "us"). It explains how CurTask uses outside AI service providers to carry out the AI tasks you ask for, and what you agree to when you use CurTask.
It forms part of our Terms of service. Our privacy policy explains in full what data we collect, why, and for how long. If this agreement and the Terms say different things about AI providers, this agreement applies.
2. You need to agree to use CurTask
When you sign in, CurTask shows this agreement. To use CurTask you must agree to it by ticking "I have read and agree" and pressing "I agree". If you don't agree, press "Sign out".
We keep a record of your agreement: which version you agreed to, when, the language you read it in, and the kind of device and browser (for example "Chrome on macOS").
3. AI service providers
CurTask's AI features run on our servers in Malaysia, which send the text a task needs to an AI service provider and receive its answer. To carry out tasks well — for example when a provider is busy or unavailable, or when another provider does a task better or at a fairer cost — we may choose and change the AI service providers we use as we see fit, within the rules in this agreement.
Some of these providers have their servers outside Malaysia, for example in the United States. By agreeing, you agree that the text a feature needs may be sent to and processed on those servers.
4. What providers may keep
AI service providers may keep data and logs about the requests we send them, under their own policies: for example for security, preventing abuse, fixing problems or meeting the law. Some keep nothing at all after answering; others keep data for a time or for as long as their policy says. What each provider keeps is shown on the list in section 6.
5. Never used for training
Your papers, notes, codes and writing are never used to train AI models. We only use AI service providers that do not train their models on the data we send them. If a provider changes its terms to allow training on our data, we stop using it.
6. The list of AI providers
Every AI service provider we use is named on our public list of AI providers, with the date it was last updated. For each provider the list shows the company, its country, what it receives, what it keeps and that it does not train on your data.
We update the list when we add, remove or change a provider, and we tell you by email (an account notice) before the change takes effect.
7. What is sent, and what never is
Nothing is sent to an AI provider until you use an AI feature, such as confirming an analysis, answering the project interview or asking for an insight. Only the text that feature needs is sent. The privacy policy (section 5) lists what each feature sends, and so does Settings → AI & privacy in the app.
Never sent to an AI provider: your notes, your memos on coded passages, your name, your email address or any account number.
8. Where your data is stored
Your account, your files, the text read from them, everything you create and your AI results are stored on our servers in Malaysia. Encrypted backups are kept in Malaysia too. The answers that AI providers send back are checked against your papers and stored only on our servers.
9. Changes to this agreement
We may update this agreement, for example when the way we use AI providers changes. Each update has a new version and date. When there is a new version, CurTask shows it at your next sign-in — or as soon as you next use an AI feature or add a paper — and asks you to agree again before you go on. Until you do, nothing more is sent to an AI provider for your account.
10. If you don't agree, or change your mind
If you don't agree, sign out. Your account and everything in it stay as they are, and you can come back and agree later. You can still get a copy of all your data or have your account deleted without agreeing: email us at hello@hackedu.tech and we will help. You can stop using CurTask at any time. To withdraw your agreement, stop using CurTask or delete your account; how deletion works is in the privacy policy (sections 14 and 16).
11. Who can agree
You must be 18 or over to use CurTask and to agree to this agreement.
12. Language
This agreement is available in English and Bahasa Melayu. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
